The picture that is to the left is known as a Air Chek Test or as we here at BWise Radon like to call it, the home test kit. This test is generally used to test your home for Radon Gases after you get radon mitigation work completed and you are not in a real estate transaction. This test you set at your conveience (set for a minimum of 3 days (72 hours) but no longer than 4 days (96 hours) and mail it directly to the lab. The lab will then process it and email you your results within a week depending on how backed up the lab is. In order to get this test, you would need to reach out to our office and speak with a receptionist about how to get this test.

Corentium Pro - Monitor

The picture that is to the left is known as a Corentium Pro Monitor Test or as we here at BWise Radon like to call it, the continuous monitor test. This test is generally used to test your home for Radon Gases before you get radon mitigation work completed. This test sits for 2 Days (48 hours). In order to get this test, you would need to reach out to our office and speak with a receptionist about getting on schedule for testing.

Once we get your results, we will email it to you within 24 hours. Please make sure we have your correct email on file in order to send you your results. If you don't receive your results within 38 hours, please contact our office by clicking on this link.

This test is generally used to test your home for Radon Gases after you get radon mitigation work completed. This test sits for 3 Days (72 hours). In order to get this test, you would need to reach out to our office and speak with a receptionist about getting on schedule for testing.

Our Basic Radon Mitigation Systems can take anywhere from 4 - 6 hours depending on what all the technicatian will need to complete. For example, the tech might have to caulk the basement cracks if you have an unfinish basement.

Maintaining Your Radon Reducation System

Similar to a furnace or chimney, radon reduction systems need occasional maintenance. If you have a fan powered (or active) system, you should look at your warning device, usually a manometer, on a regular basis to make sure the system is working correctly. Fans may last for five years or more — manufacturer warranties tend not to exceed five years — and may then need to be repaired or replaced. The cost to replace a fan varies as it is based on labor and materials. Ask qualified mitigators for estimates before work begins. It is a good idea to retest your home at least every two years to be sure radon levels remain low.

Remember, the fan should NEVER be turned off; it must run continuously for the system to work correctly.

Our Crawl Space Sealing can take anywhere from 2-4 hours depending on the size of the crawl space and if they are able to move around the crawl space or if it's narrow. For example, the tech might have a 500 squarefoot crawl space to seal and not be able to walk around which might take them about 2 hours or three (2-3 hours) or a 2,000 squarefoot crawl space where they can move around and that would take about 4-6 hours to complete. You would have to ask the technician when they arrival to your property.

Our Insulation can take anywhere from 2-4 hours depending on how much the tech would need in the crawl space.
